Supporting and enriching Moraga education

MEF News and Events

Thank You, Together We Did It!
$1,400,398.79 Exceeded 2009-2010 Goal
Additional donations saved jobs and programs for 2010-2011

Thank you for supporting our schools and saving vital people and programs. Without your contributions, many critical K-12 programs would have been greatly reduced or completely eliminated.

For the coming school year, your donations to MEF will fund 2.67 teaching positions, 100% of the Moraga School District’s music, physical education, art, and library programs, the “Z” period/elective program at Joaquin Moraga Middle School, and more than a third of the Moraga School District’s technology budget.  As a result of Measure A passing, your MEF donations will afford Campolindo students with:  a return to smaller class sizes in ninth grade English and math; ongoing curriculum support for a broad range of electives; additional counseling, intervention, and tutoring services; staff training for Advanced Placement and Science teachers; and technology support.

Every dollar from every family, community member, and business partner made the difference.

Thank you!

MEF Launches 2010-2011 Campaign
$1.6 Million Needed For Our Public Schools

Over the past three years, due to the significant reductions in state education funding, our schools have been faced with cutting programs and tapping reserves. Looking forward to the next school year, the projections are not bright, and further reductions are anticipated.

To continue to preserve core programs and address the education funding challenges, MEF’s campaign goal for the next school year is $1.6 million.

The recommended contribution per student is $750—This is an increase over last year but on par with other districts in our area and vital to raising the funds we need to continue to deliver the quality education we want for our children.

Together we can reach this goal. Please make your financial pledge to MEF today. We ask all families to donate to MEF at the highest level they can afford. Contributions at every level make a difference. Thank you for investing in our schools.
